Coron is the third-largest island in the Calamian Islands in northern Palawan,Philippines.
It is known for several Japanese shipwrecks of World War II and fascinating underwater garden of corals.
Disclaimer: Price quotations may vary since travels are dated way back.

We took the 10am flight from Manila via SkyJet to Coron and requested our hotel a transport service from Busuanga Airport to Funny Lion Inn. Check out skyscanner.com for flights and bookings.
Travel time from the airport to main town is approximatey 30minutes.
Funny Lion transport service fee is 1200php per pax per way.

The hotel can arrange private city tours where you can choose your type of transport vehicle.
We opted for the tricycle service which was 700php for the following spots: Lobster King Restaurant, Souvenir Shop, Mt. Tapyas and Maquinit Hot Spring.

We directly booked our private island hopping tour in the hotel. More or less $120 with a professional guide and two boatmen. We went as early as 9am to explore spots like Siete Picados, Twin Lagoon,Kayangan Lake, Shipwrecks Bay, Banul Beach, Malcapuya Island,, Banana Island and many other neighboring islets

We stopped over at Banul Beach around 12nn.
Khrisna and his team served us a presumptuous lunch before we head on to the shipwreck area.

The sunken Japanese wrecks of Coron Bay resulted from sustained air- attack on the Imperial Japanese Navy that took place on September 24, 1944. The vessels sunk by bombing and torpedo attacks by Grumman F6F and SB2C Hellcat from the US Navy Fast Carrier Task Force 38.
What we've seen here was the Kyokuzan Maru- an auxiliary freighter serving wartime logistics role in support of the Imperial Japanese Navy. https://youtu.be/teSN1e1V6ig
Highlights of the island hopping tour I should say, Twin Lagoon and Siete Picados are one for the books.
The beauty of rock formations and dipping in a mix of salt and fresh water giving it a distinct warm and cold feels ...woah! I'm really in awe how marvelous our God is.
While Siete Picados is definitely a must for snorkeling. The underwater landscape is just a sight to behold.
